  • Maymester: April 25
  • Session 1: April 25
  • Session 2: June 1

Below are the steps to follow in order to apply to attend Emory this summer.

  • Complete the online application.
    • Submit a Letter of Good Standing from your home institution
    • Pay the $75 non-refundable application fee online
      NOTE: If you attended Emory as a transient student in a previous summer, this application fee is waived. Email summerprograms@emory.edu to request this waiver.
  • Once your application is verified as complete, it will be marked final acceptance.
  • After final review, you will receive an official final acceptance email notification.
  • Log in to the PORTAL to view additional Pre-Arrival details in your online application checklist.

Upon notification of your acceptance to Emory College as a transient non-degree seeking student, you will receive written instructions on how to log in OPUS and enroll in a course(s).

Accepted transient students may also enroll in person on

  • Maymester: May 9
  • Session 1: May 12
  • Session 2: June 26

*Note: To browse courses in Course Atlas for online, on campus or Maymester, be sure to filter by session.

Transient students may request an official transcript to be sent to their home institution. The student's home institution determines if the credits will be accepted and how they will be applied.

Transient students should consult with their home institution prior to enrolling in Emory summer school.
